Toy Clearance at Nordstrom

I noticed today that Nordstrom has a good sized selection of toys on clearance for 30-50% off.  Nordstrom tends to stock high quality classic toys.

I love wooden toys and this Hape Fire House is adorable.  As a bonus, it includes furniture!  On sale at Nordstrom for 50% off.

HABA is another great brand of wooden toys.  This classic push toy is even made in Germany!  These were great for when my daughter was just learning to walk.

Last but not least, my favorite baby (and adult!) blanket brand has their lovey on sale.  I *love* Little Giraffe and my little one has their blanket and it is truly the softest blanket ever.  I held out for a long time because I thought "who pays that much for a blanket!?!?" but I could not find anything that came close.  My little one loves it and so do I!

Nordstrom 40% Clearance Sale - Starting February 11, 2015

Nordstrom has changed up their sale strategy and calendar for 2015.  Instead of the half-yearly sales, Nordstrom will be holding 6 sales throughout the year to be aligned with holidays. 

First up, will be a clearance sale February 11-22, 2015 in store and online with savings up to 40% off original prices.

There will be items available from the men's, women's and children's apparel sections. 

2015 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Start Date Announced!

Mark you calendars!  The 2015 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale start date has been announced! 

The 2015 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale will start on July 17, 2015! 

If it is anything like in years past, Nordstrom Rewards card members will be able to start shopping about a week in advance of the public sale date (this is called "early access").  The sale usually runs for about 2 weeks after the official opening day.

They are doing double points for card holders for early access and for the official sale start days.

The lookbook is typically released at the very end of June at the earliest, or the beginning of July.

Even though stores are closed today, online stores are open. Nordstrom is calling their after Christmas sale a "clearance sale" now.  It looks like they are going away from their time honored tradition of a "half yearly sale" and they are now doing more frequent sales. 

There were some good deals on jeans at 40 and 50% off with pretty much all sizes available.  Hudson Baby Beth and Paige Hidden Hills in Petites (which never go on sale!).

Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus are also doing an online clearance though I'm not sure if its anything new.  Macy's is doing their "one day sale" tomorrow with online preview today.

Nordstrom Price Matching

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Have you noticed that Nordstrom is now advertising price matches throughout the site and store?  I love that Nordstrom is being proactive about meeting competitor prices to earn our business.  I know that they have been price matching for years now, but it seems like only recently they are actually advertising this policy.

As I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping today I saw that Paige Premium Denim had been price matched to 15% off and many Joie blouses were also 15 or 20% off. 

On Nordstrom.com, I'm seeing that many items are showing anywhere from 10-30% with a notice saying the item's price has been Price Matched! Here's the complete Pricing Policy.

Nordstrom Fall Designer Clearance

Every Fall, Nordstrom has a designer clearance sale and will take 35-50% off their high end designer apparel and handbags.  This is a great time to pick up some really nice bags for a deeply discounted price.

Here are a few picks that stood out to me this year!

What a gorgeous shade of red!  The pebbled leather is a little more casual, but it will hold up well vs. a smooth leather which always seems to show every little nick and scratch.  I also love that it has a top zipper to keep everything securely inside.  It is also available on sale in camel, tan and black.

Love this classic Burberry Haymarket check patterned wallet.  Personally I prefer flap wallets to zip ones, so this is right up my alley.  My only criticism is that I'm not sure if there are enough slots for all of my credit & loyalty cards.

I love that the PS Elliot bags have a slightly different look than the PS1 bags but they are still very Proenza Schouler looking.  This one is smooth leather so I would have to be super careful wearing it and make sure to have some leather care cream on hand to buff out scratches.

How gorgeous is this Armani coat?  I love the sculpted back and the minimalist front.  The mini funnel neck is also really cute.  The model's arms seem to be a little long for it though! :)
